Senior Claims Handler - Farnborough

Job Profile
Working as part of a Casualty Claims team, the role requires a high level of customer focus with the ability to provide high quality technical claims service and a first class customer service. The Senior Claims Handler will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of Casualty claims. Duties will include handling/proactively resolving enquiries from customers and external contacts (to deliver a focused, efficient and effective claims service) and proactively finalising PL and EL claims within agreed authority levels ensuring settlement at an optimum level. The role will also involve delivering against agreed team and personal objectives, contributing to a positive supportive team culture and taking technical referrals from junior colleagues.


Applicant Requirements
Candidates must have an understanding of legislation and legal liability, the ability to interpret and apply policy information and have developed skills in investigation of liability, evaluation and negotiation. The role requires good case management skills with use of diary and knowledge of the CPR and litigation processes. Looking for excellent customer service and communication (both orally and in writing) skills, focus on achieving results and excellent team working skills. Progression towards ACII or demonstrable willingness to do the exams is required.
